25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth Larios conducted a Case Management visit with Licensee, Mirna Avila Medina to follow up on pending items from a previous inspection. The purpose of the visit was to verify that the Family Child Care Home is in compliance with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations.
During the inspection, LPA toured the outdoor areas of the property, including the storage areas. It was observed that the storage areas are being used solely for storing personal belongings and is not being utilized as a living space.
Licensee, Mirna was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
During the visit, Licensee, Mirna completed a Declaration of Understanding acknowledging the discussed requirements. LPA will proceed with processing the Licensee’s request for increase capacity.
An exit interview was conducted with Licensee Mirna Medina Avila, during which the inspection report was reviewed, and a copy was provided. No deficiencies were cited during today's visit.
A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED, POSTED NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO THE FACILITY, AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
