32 | Per Licensee the operating hours of the Family Child Care Home will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5pm.
Applicant has requested the following rooms to be ‘on limits’ to day-care children: living room and hallway bathroom, and entire backyard.
Applicant has requested the following rooms be ‘off limits’ to day-care children: kitchen, dining area, three bedrooms, one bathroom, and the garage.
Licensee has child proof barrier present outside in the backyard area to prevent children from playing near a storage area. LPA Dodoo, discussed and reiterated documents that go into a child’s facility file and documents which are to be posted for parental view. There are no bodies of water on the premises.
Licensee Ren Hui, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA Sabina Dodoo, discussed the safe sleep regulations with Applicant Ren Hui, and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed applicant of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
