Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth Berumen conducted an unannounced 1 year required inspection. LPA met with licensee, Griselda Valencia, and explained the nature of today's inspection to her. Days and hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The adults that reside in the home are the Licensee, her spouse Uriel, and her adult daughter Nallely and son, Alexis. LPA observed 4 preschoolers during today's inspection.

LPA inspected the indoor and outdoor areas of the home during today's inspection. The off limit areas are the two bedrooms, fenced back yard adjacent to children's play area located behind the house. Right side yard is used for Parents entry. The licensee uses the garage as passage to go to the play room. There are no bodies of water. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which could pose a danger if readily available to children are stored where they are inaccessible to children. Licensee states there are no weapons in the home and no pets. LPA reminded Licensee that any poisons need to be stored inaccessible to children and locked. LPA observed a fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher. The smoke and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and proved to be functioning. LPA observed there is one barricaded wood burning stove and one barricaded wall heater in the home.

LPA reviewed four children files and observed files are complete. LPA observed last fire drill was practiced and documented on 09/20/2022.

The Licensee has a working telephone in the home (land line) and provided her cell phone number (831) 291-8563. LPA observed sufficient materials, toys, and play equipment for the day care children.
