Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Cortney Nelson, met with Applicant, Jaime Allen, to follow-up on corrections requested during pre-licensing visit on 1/4/2024. Upon arrival, LPA was admitted into the facility by Jaime and toured inside and outside of the facility to review corrections during todays visit.

LPA observed that the following corrections were made:
-An approved fire clearance was given by Scotts Valley Fire Department on 2/7/2024.
-Proof of purchase for additional nap cots and sheets was provided and LPA observed that the materials are now present at the facility.
-Barriers are now securely fastened around the wall heaters in the facility.
-The door to the children's restroom has been removed and a baby gate has been installed to prevent access by children. The door has been removed to ensure children are visually supervised at all times. A lock has been added to the staff restroom to make it inaccessible to children. LPA advised if a shower curtain is used for restroom "privacy" that it remains open while not in use to ensure children are not in the restroom unattended.
-The water dispenser for children's drinking water has now been set-up for use.
-Additional cubbies have been purchased and there are now sufficient cubbies for the requested capacity of 15 children.
-Required postings are now hung up and there is a baby gate separating the check-in area from the rest of the facility.
-The rolling wall between the kitchen and the rest of the facility is now completed.
-A revised copy of the Incidental Medical Services (IMS) plan and the facility admission agreement has been received by the Department and is compliant with regulatory requirements.

The outdoor fence has been replaced and is at least four feet tall, however the gap underneath the fence still needs to be filled in. Jaime states that when the parking lot is resurfaced with asphalt that it will fill the gap underneath the fence as well as with tanbark that still will be added to the outdoor space. Jaime further states that she estimates this process will be finished up within the next 3-4 weeks and LPA advised that a follow-up visit can be conducted once completed or photos of the outside area can be submitted too.

LPA advised Jaime that before the facility can be licensed, a closure letter for her Family Child Care Home (FCCH) shall be submitted to the Department. Once received, her FCCH will be closed and the child care center license shall be generated. LPA advised that the license activation will take 24 hours to complete.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Applicant, Jaime Allen.

LPA advised that a license for a child care center will be issued following manager review and approval and completion of the outside area.
