32 | Classroom #3 will be for children ages 4-5 and is equipped with seven tables, twenty seven chairs, fifteen cubbies, and fifteen nap mats. Classroom #2 will be for children ages 2-3 and is equipped with fifteen cubbies, five tables, eighteen chairs, and fifteen cots. There is adequate equipment, supplies and toys for the children in the facility. Drinking water will be provided indoors via filtered pitcher and water bottles. LPAs advised submitting proof of construction for the building in regards to water lead testing. There is a working telephone at the facility. Debbie states that there are no firearms or weapons on the premises. The facility plans to use classroom binders for sign-in/out and LPAs advised parents shall use full legal signature and time of day.
The food preparation area (kitchen) is functional and has hot and cold running water, sink, refrigerator, and storage space for food supplies. The facility will provide AM/PM snack, lunch, and breakfast to the children and is not planning to work with any food programs. Cleaning and sanitation of dishes and utensils will be done via dishwasher once purchased and Debbie will submit proof of purchase to the Department. There is a solid waste container with tight-fitting lid located in the kitchen. Cleaning supplies will be stored on top of the fridge, inaccessible to children.
LPAs observed Classroom #3 outdoor space is currently in progress and will not be used by children until completed. LPAs observed that the outdoor space for Classroom #2 is surrounded by fencing and advised that all outdoor fencing must be four feet tall. There is a garden area, playground, animals, and maintained sandbox for children to use. LPAs advised that playground must be securely anchored to the ground. LPAs observed the play ground structure is age appropriate and has sufficient resilient material (tanbark) underneath and surrounding the structure. Shade is provided by canopies and large trees. Drinking water will be provided via children's water bottles and filtered water. LPAs did not observe any bodies of water during today's inspection. Transportation will not be provided by the facility.
Debbie Craig, Applicant Representative has obtained the Criminal Record and Child Abuse Index clearances. She has met the education and experience qualification requirements and has current Pediatric First Aid/CPR Certifications on file. Proof of completion of Preventative Health Practices and vaccination records for MMR, Tdap, and Influenza are on file.
