32 | LPA Sims interviewed staff (S1) on 9/9/23 and asked if they have observed any issues with the day-care's sanitary levels. S1 stated that there are no issues with the day-care’s sanitary levels and that the home is clean. LPA asked who oversees the cleaning. S1 stated that the licensee typically oversees the responsibility of cleaning. LPA asked if there is a checklist for the cleaning. S1 said there is no checklist for cleaning. LPA asked what the cleaning routine is in which S1 stated that one person takes the children outside and the other cleans up in the morning and then during nap time they both clean up while the children are sleeping. LPA asked how often cleaning is done and how often deep cleaning is done. S1 stated that cleaning is done every day, and that deep cleaning is done every other day.
LPA Sims interviewed 7 parents (P1-P7) on 8/9/23, 8/11/23 and 9/1/23. LPA Sims interviewed parents and asked if they had any issue with the day-care's sanitary levels in which 5 of 7 parents stated no, they had no issues with sanitary levels of the facility. 2 of 7 parents stated yes. P4 stated that the facility was not physically clean and there was stuff on the floor. P7 stated that the facility was dirty, sticky and stuff everywhere.
During the visit on 8/2/23, LPAs observed the daycare room had left over food crumbs on the table and items were scattered through the daycare room. Licensee stated that children were in care July 28th on Friday and licensee closed for the week of July 31st through the first week of August for vacation.
During today’s visit facility was toured. LPA observed 9 children in care with licensee and staff supervising children.
Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. Appeal rights were provided and exit interview conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posted for 30 days. |
