On 6/19/24 at 4:00pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nicolette Cunningham conducted an unannounced inspection, and met with diorector, Nicole Bull. It was alleged that staff are not ensuring that day care child diapering needs are being met, specifically that children are going all day without a diaper change.

The director was interviewed on 4/8/24 at 4:30pm and denied the allegation. The director stated that she monitors all classroom throughout the day and has not observed anything to cause her to be concerned. The director stated staff record all diaper changes on a chart. During today’s inspection, LPA photographed the diaper chart in the two-year old classroom.

Three staff were interviewed on 6/17 and 6/19/24, and stated staff are trained to enter diaper changes on a daily chart and children’s diapers are changed when they switch activities such as go outside or before lunch. Three parents were interviewed on 6/11/24, and one parent reported that they have never had a concern. Two parents reported they usually find their child with a dry diaper on at pick up but occasionally find their child with a wet diaper on.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the director, Nicole Bull.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Appeal rights were provided.
