On August 30, 2023 at 3:30 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cunningham conducted an unannounced complaint inspection, and met with director, Lisa O’Neal. It was alleged that staff (Staff 1) spoke inappropriately about child 1 in front of other children and parents, specifically, staff 1 stated child 1 placed hands on another child. It was also reported child 1’s parent responded and staff 1 replied “ ya! Ya! Ya! So, you do not care about your child.”

The director and three staff (S2 – S4) were interviewed on 6/14/23, 6/20/23, 6/26/23, and 7/11/23. The director reported that she spoke to staff 1 about making negative remarks but has not observed staff 1 speak inappropriately about a child in front of other children or parents. Three staff stated they have not observed staff 1 make inappropriate comments about a child in front of other children or staff. Two parents (P2-P3) were interviewed on 7/11/23 and 8/30/23, and both reported they have not observed Staff 1 make inappropriate comments about a child in front of

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violation occurred, and the findings are unsubstantiated.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
