A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 11:00 a.m. by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), N. Cunningham. LPA met with facility representative Brandy Groves and Linda Sellers. The applicant is requesting a license for 40 preschool age children. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon. The facility will operate in four classrooms (room 140, 141, 143, and 146).

The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The office area will be off limits to children and will be made inaccessible. There is a kitchen to prepare lunch and snacks. The isolation area for sick children will be located by the classroom door.

The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There are play structures for children to play on and adequate cushioning underneath. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. No poisons are stored on site. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.

The Redding Fire Department approved the fire clearance on 09/02/22. There are functional smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers present.

A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There are four toilets and six sinks available for children.
