25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 8:30 am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), N. Cunningham. LPA met with applicant Lindsay Metz. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 8 children. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The residence is a 4 bedroom/ 3 bath one story home. There are two adults and three minors currently living in the home.
The home and yard were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: all bedrooms, office, two car garage, the East backyard which have been made inaccessible with child gates. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, fire extinguisher, and carbon monoxide detector. The licensee stated children will use the South back yard as the outdoor play area which is not fenced. The applicant understands that constant supervision is required when children are outside. There were no pools or other bodies of water observed in the yard.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311D, Forms/Records To Keep In Your Family Child Care Home, children’s forms/records, facility forms/records, and information to be posted.
