25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Snow. LPA met with facility representative Brandy Groves. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 20 preschoolers, age 2-5 years in the entire building (room 1,2,3&4). Hours of operation will be Monday -Friday, 7:45 -4:15pm.
The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The office is off limits by use of a gate. Children will nap on mats in the classroom. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the office. Meals are brought in from a central kitchen. Water is provided from the kitchen sink & a portable container outside.
The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There are 2 play structures, one with 2 slides and another with 2 slides and a tunnel for children to play on and adequate cushioning underneath. Shade provided by a covered patio and trees. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in janitors closet. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.
A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. The inside, room square footage measured 700. Children have access to 2 toilets & 2 sinks. The outside, yard square footage measured 2,175 square feet.
Based on above, sufficient for the requested capacity.
