A Tele-inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Melchisedeck Augustin for the purpose of adding a classroom to the existing preschool on limits area, with a capacity of 72. Due to COVID-19, the Department suspended field operations and Center Director Rose Canarios (CD) agreed to meet with LPA via video conference. On 02/12/21, the facility submitted an updated facility sketch, requesting the addition of the empty classroom to the facility's on limits area. 03/25/21, the Vallejo Fire Department granted approval for the empty classroom to be added to the facility's existing fire clearance.

A current menu was posted on the communication board outside the classroom. CD claimed there were current Activities Schedules posted in the other preschool classrooms, and CD will create and post the schedule prior to utilizing the classroom. The sign in/ sign out binders were located on a table inside the facility, near the facility front entrance. There were enough cubbies to store the children's belongings. There was a First Aid kit available in the classroom. The children in care will have access to age appropriate toys and equipment. The children will have access to clean drinking water via a pitcher or an igloo.

The classroom was equipped with a functional carbon monoxide and hardwired smoke detector. There is a fully charged fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC, and the extinguisher was serviced on 12/04/20. CD stated that poison was not stored on site. CD reported there were no firearms or dangerous weapons in the facility, and none were observed during the virtual tour. There were no bodies of water observed. There is a trash bin without a lid in the classroom, however; CD stated that food will not be discarded in the trash can and leftover food will be discarded in a cart that contained a bin. There were two bathrooms with a total of two toilets and four sinks in the classroom. Emergency drills must be conducted at least once every six months and the date documented. CD's signature was not recorded on this Facility Evaluation Report (FER), however; CD was provided with a copy of this report; and CD's confirmation of read receipt is on file.

Approval for the empty classroom to be added to the on limits area with an existing capacity of 72 is approved effective 04/07/21.
