A follow-up complaint investigation tele-visit was made today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Y. Yang to deliver complaint investigation findings. Due to the current Proclamation of a State of Emergency regarding COVID-19, a tele-visit was conducted in place of an in-person, site visit. A previous tele-visit was made with the facility on 03/02/2021. It was alleged that the licensee spoke inappropriately to a child in care. Specifically, it was alleged that the licensee spoke about child C1 in the presence of others in a manner that violated C1’s dignity.

The LPA met with licensee Theresa Kasid today at 02:00pm via tele-visit to discuss the investigation finding. A follow-up video tour of the facility was conducted at 02:14pm. There were 10 children present at the facility. During the initial complaint investigation tele-visit with the licensee on 03/02/21, the LPA interviewed the licensee at 02:15pm and a virtual tour of the facility was conducted at 02:55pm. The LPA did not observe any inappropriate conduct or hear any inappropriate comments from the licensee or staff members during the facility tours. The licensee denied the allegation and stated that she has never made any inappropriate statements to or about C1 or any daycare child or client.
