25 | On 12/20/24 at 9:40am, an annual inspection was made to the facility by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Elizabeth Friese. At 9:50am the home was toured inside and outside. The licensee was supervising 8 children and operating within the licensed capacity and ratio requirements. The facility’s operating hours are 7:15am to 5:30pm, Monday–Friday. The floor plan submitted by the licensee was reviewed and verified. The off-limits areas of the home are every room except for the den (play area), and were made inaccessible by door locks and a baby gate. The children use the back yard as the outdoor play area and it is fully fenced. There is an in-ground pool in the back yard. The pool is fully fenced with mesh fencing, with a self latching gate that has a locking mechanism 60 inches above the ground. Licensee was advised of the new pool regulations going into effect 1/01/25, and will purchase an alarm that detects entry into the water, a rescue pole with body hook at least 12', a life ring (at least 17" and USCG approved), and will keep logs of daily inspection of pool area and safety equipment prior to opening the facility each day of operation. There is an inoperable spa on the property that has been emptied. When repaired and filled, licensee will install a locking cover in good repair.
Four children's records were reviewed at 10:34am. One staff record was reviewed at 10:50am. There are currently 3 adults living in the home.
There were no deficiencies cited during today’s inspection.
