25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye conducted a capacity increase inspection as the facility is adding a toddler option in building B for up to 24 toddlers. The total requested capacity for the preschool license including the toddlers is for 114 children. The
application was received by the department on June 3, 2022. The fire clearance for the increase of capacity was received on July 20, 2022.
There is sufficient square footage to support 90 preschool age children and 24 toddlers. There are a total of eight toilets and nine sinks.
The toddler program program will be operated in building B. The toddler program has it's own toilets and sinks. The toddler program shares building B with the school age program but there is a physical separation so the different age groups will not commingle.
The licensee was reminded that all adults 18 years and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA reviewed with licensee the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted. |
