Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Glenn Ouye met with Applicant, Martha Barron Botello and Director, Vanessa Morales to conduct a prelicensing inspection.

The application was received on November 19, 2020 for a combination center (infant and preschool licenses). The applicant was required to have a fire alarm installed by the local fire department. The fire clearance was approved on May 5, 2021. There are three fire extinguishers rated at 2A10BC and three pull stations within the combination center. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detectors are integrated into the newly installed fire alarm.

The facility has two rooms to be used for the preschool license. There is sufficient age appropriate toys and furniture including sleeping cots. The sign in and out is done using BrightWheel electronic signature.

The outdoor activity area has age appropriate toys and equipment. The outdoor area will be used with a waiver to rotate between the preschool and infant programs. There will be no commingling of children from the infant and preschool licenses.
The licensee and director are aware that any staff or volunteer will need criminal record clearance and facility association.

There is sufficient indoor and outdoor activity space to license 19 preschool age children.

This preschool license is approved for 19 preschool age children effective July 9, 2021.
