25 | On 10/28/24 at 9:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA),Cindy Castro made an announced Case Management visit to the facility and met with Licensee, Jameelah Hanif regarding the Licensee's application for a location change.
During the inspection the home was toured only on first floor and backyard. Licensee stated that she was unaware that the whole home was required to be inspected for a change of location. Licensee was not prepared for a whole home inspection. LPA explained that whole home is required to be inspected to ensure Title 22 regulations are being met. The licensee was not supervising any children. LPA reviewed the process for a change of location. LPA also reviewed the fire clearance report issued on 07/26/24 by City of Vallejo Fire Department, which listed that that converted garage shall not be used for daycare purposes. LPA observed daycare materials set up in the converted garage. Licensee stated that if the garage could not be used for daycare that she will locked the garage and have it be off-limits to the children. LPA discussed with licensee that until a building and planning permit is granted and clearance from Building and Fire Department is obtained the garage shall not be used for any daycare purposes. LPA informed licensee that an immediate civil penalty can be issued for fire clearance violations. The application for the location change needs further review and additional inspection. Once all requirements have been met, the change of location will be granted.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Jameelah Hanif.
