25 | A change of location inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cindy Castro. The applicant was previously licensed at 816 Taper Court, Vallejo CA. The applicant is requesting a license for a capacity of 14 children. Services will be available Monday through Friday, 7:00AM-5:00 PM. The applicant understands that 24hr consecutive care is prohibited.The residence is a three-bedroom, one bathroom, three level home. There are currently two adults living in the home. The applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
The floor and yard plans were verified. The applicant provided proof of control of property. The children will have access to the living room/dining, kitchen, Playroom (bottom level), nap room (upper level), Bathroom (upper level) a ndbackyard. The "off limits" areas of the home are one bedroom and garage. These areas will be made inaccessible by a child safety gates and door locking mechanisms. The living room has a fireplace and is barricaded by a piece of furniture. Licensee stated that fireplace will not be utilized. The home appears to be clean and orderly at this time and will remain so during child care hours. There is a working telephone in the home. The sharp knives, cleaning supplies, medicines, will be stored out of the reach of children. The applicant states there are no firearms and ammunition stored on the premises. Applicant stated that there are no poisons on the premises, and none were observed during this inspection. First Aid supplies will be maintained at the facility. The children in care will have access to age-appropriate toys and equipment. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and a fire extinguisher rated at least 2-A 10:BC.Continued on LIC 809-C
