25 | On 02/18/25 at 9:10am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Amy Strother conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for a DECREASE in capacity. Upon arrival, LPA met with Facility Representative, Rosa Ruiz (D1). Licensee/Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 20 preschoolers, ages 3-5 years and 8 toddlers, ages 18 mos. – 3 years in classrooms #72 and #71. Classroom #70 in currently on a separate infant license, #493009803. Hours of operation will be Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 5:30pm. Present during today’s inspection were 18 children with 3 staff in preschool room #72 and 6 children with 3 staff in toddler room #71, for a total census of 24 children. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed D1 that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility and measured indoor and outdoor activity space. Total indoor activity space measured 1546.80 square feet, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 28 children. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots/mats, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via individual water bottles. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property. Fire clearance was granted on 01/28/25.
LPA observed a total of 3 sinks and 2 toilets available for children’s use in the Preschool classroom #72 and 3 sinks and 2 toilets available for children’s use in the Toddler classroom #71. These are sufficient to accommodate the requested capacity of 20 children in the Preschool room and 8 children in the Toddler room, for a total of 28 children.
