| Jewelee sated that an additional table and more chairs will be brought into the classroom to meet the requested capacity of 22 preschool children. Jewelee stated that she will have a sanitation table outside the classroom and stated that staff will do wellness checks every morning during drop off and take the children's and staffs temperatures every day.
Room measurements were taken and reviewed with Jewelee. The total inside preschool area measured to an approximate 837 square feet which will accommodate the requested capacity of 22 preschool children. There is adequate storage space available for children's belongings in each classroom. Jewelee understands that children's equipment needs to match the capacity she is licensed for and therefore will submit proof that there are enough Cots.
Toys and equipment are age appropriate. The Cots will be stored in a corner next to the site supervisors office. Jewelee stated that bedding/sheets will get washed every week or whenever necessary - Friday. A washer and dryer will be installed within the next few weeks. Jewelee stated she will submit a pictures once completed. There are a total of 2 toilets and 2 sinks/hand washing fixtures which will accommodate the newly requested capacity of 22 preschool children. LPA observed a water dispenser with disposable cups in the classroom which children will have access to. An igloo will be used for outside drinking water.
The approximate outside square footage for the preschool area is 1,964 which will accommodate the requested capacity of 22 Preschool Children. The preschool play area is gated and has its own age appropriate play structure. Licensee is using poured rubber to cushion the fall zones. The play structure has a shade area that covers the whole structure. Jewelee stated that the center will get a shed but be on the outside of the preschool where toys and equipment will be stored. There is a black iron gate around the play ground. Jewelee stated that the center is installing metal mesh which will be completed when children are not present. In the meantime they have added a temporary orange mesh around the fence. LPA reminded Jewelee to provide adequate supervision of children at all times.
A fire clearance for 22 preschool children was received and granted by the Oakdale Fire Department on 8/13/2021.
