32 | LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed they were complete with required emergency information. The licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training is valid through 03/14/2025, and pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is valid through 03/18/2025. A review of records indicates that all employees and volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza (statement on file regarding the decline of influenza.), pertussis, and measles.
LPA discussed the Community Care Licensing website (www.ccld.ca.gov), which provides access to resources such as forms, regulations, Provider Information Notices (PINs), and Quarterly Updates. Reporting Requirements as outlined in Section 102416.2 of the regulations were also reviewed.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 years and older living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to being present in the licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100 per day, up to five days, or for a maximum of 30 days for repeat violations, will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
LPA discussed safe sleep regulations and provided information about the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage (https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep) as a resource. LPA also informed the licensee about the importance of checking for recalled infant products on the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website (https://www.cpsc.gov) and recommended registering all infant devices with the CPSC to receive recall notifications.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. LPA referred the licensee to PIN 22-02-CCP for more information. If IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA provided information about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including the US Department of Justice toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice) or (800) 514-0383 (TTY). Additional information about ADA compliance for child care centers can be found at https://www.ada.gov/resources/child-care-centers/.
LPA informed the licensee about the MyChildCarePlan.org website, which is a consumer education resource that connects families with childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. ***Please see 809-C***
