25 | On 12/05/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Valerie Mireles conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee April Martignetti. Also present was licensee’s husband. Days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:30AM – 5:00PM.
LPA toured the home inside, outside and a census was taken where six children were present. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the kitchen, bathroom, living room and day care room are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of doorknob spinners and a locked master bedroom door.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a screen and will not be in use during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. In the day care room LPA observed a mounted television, play kitchen, age appropriate learning materials, puzzles, toys, games and child-sized table and chairs.
LPA reviewed a sample of children’s files and observed files were complete with emergency information as required. Licensee’s Mandated Reporter Training was completed on 09/22/2023. Licensee’s pediatric CPR/First Aid certification expires on 08/2025. A review of records indicates that all employees and/or volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis and measles.
