25 | On June 7, 2021 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kari McWilliams and Rene Mancinas made an unannounced case management inspection and met with Licensee Lorena Padilla. The purpose of today’s inspection was to follow up with licensee since being initially licensed on 01/13/2021. There were no children in care at the time of today’s inspection, but licensee still allowed LPAs into the facility to conduct inspection.
LPAs reviewed required forms needed to be posted and forms needed for each child in care. LPAs provided information on Safe Sleep regulations and information/resources available on the Departments website (www.ccld.ca.gov), such as how to access Provider Information Notices (PINs) and other resources available to child care providers. Hours of operation: Monday-Sunday 24 hours/day, or as arranged.
During today's inspection, licensee requested LPAs inspect an upstairs bedroom to be allowed for use by day care children. Licensee stated she will be caring for an infant in the future and a crib located in her bedroom upstairs, will be the designated area for infant napping. LPAs inspected the infant napping area and crib. LPAs did not observe any loose articles/objects in the infant sleeping area. No pillows, blankets, toys, stuffed animals, or other loose articles allowed in the crib while infant is sleeping.
Licensee will need to correct the following before being granted permission to use upstairs bedroom.
-Safety gate will need to be placed upstairs to ensure children cannot access the living room, dining, and kitchen areas, all of which are located upstairs.
-Safety gate will be placed in upstairs bedroom to ensure children cannot access the master bath.
-Mesh/screening will be placed on upstairs railing, which have a space gap of approximately 5 1/4 inches wide.
Per California Code of Regulations Title 22 Division Chapter 3, no deficiency is being cited today. Notice of Site Visit to be posted for 30 days.
