25 | On May 26, 2021, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted an inspection where facility will be operating under the Emergency Waiver. Present at time of inspection was licensee and three day care children. Licensee and her husband are the only persons who reside in the home. Verified licensee’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was completed through American Red Cross and expires on September 9, 2021. Licensee has a qualified assistant. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on March 31, 2021.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on April 5, 2021. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children in the day care room. There are three high chairs. Children will nap in the den (day care room) and in the family room on cots. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
- Licensee is advised at least one staff member with current training in pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR is to be on site at all times children are present.
