25 | On 05/23/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Jeovanna Yanez conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was Licensee, Claudia Cali. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee CPR and First Aid was completed through American Heart Association and expires on January 22, 2024. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on May 9, 2023.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on May 10, 2023. Licensee states that fire inspector did not require for her to install a fire pull alarm.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two high chairs and one play yard. There is a parent’s board that is located on the dining room wall. LPA also inspected the detached room located on the right hand side of the home, and has determined it is safe for day-care children to use and may be used immediately. The detached room has adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The areas of the home that day-care children will now have access to are the detached room and hallway bathroom. Licensee submitted a copy of updated Facility Sketch (LIC 999) showing detached room during the inspection.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place. (CONTINUED ON 809-C)
