13 | On 3/21/25 at 9:15am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth Friese conducted an unannounced complaint inspection and met with licensee Jasmeena Contreras. It was alleged that licensee yelled at day care child, specifically that while on the phone with their parent, licensee yelled at the child which their parent overheard.
The licensee was interviewed on 3/5/25 at 9:30am and denied the allegation. Licensee stated that on approximately 2/15/25 she heard an adult’s voice in the daycare room, and it scared her, so she yelled at the child “who’s that?” and when she realized they were on the phone with their parent she left it at that. She admitted to being loud as she was startled. The other parent called her around 45 minutes later and let her know that the parent on the phone didn’t like the way she was talking to their child. They said that she sounded frustrated. Licensee stated she was not frustrated but did have a house full and that’s just the way she talks. She did apologize to the child’s other parent and felt the issue had been resolved.
Children in care this date were too young to interview.
