A prelicensing inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), J. Snow. LPA met with facility representative Michelle Lightle. Applicant is requesting to be licensed for 53 school age, 5-12 years in room 1,2,3 &4 (occupying the entire building). This is a change of ownership (same owner incorporated) 515407313 CREATIVE KIDS PRESCHOOL AND DAYCARE will be closed. Hours of operation will be Monday -Friday, 6am am to 6pm with a break when they are in Elementary & full day during school scheduled vacations.

The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: office and kitchen. These areas have been made inaccessible by means of locked doors. There is a kitchen with a microwave & refrigerator and (unused) stove to store/heat meals brought from home. There is an area for rest in #3. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the office.

The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There is a play structures, swings, the climbing structures (rated age 5-12) with slide & swing with bark cushioning. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises. The poisons are locked in cabinets. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.
A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. The inside, room square footage measured at least 2,300 square feet. Children have access to at least 4 toilets & 4 sinks. The outside, yard square footage measured 6,402. Based on above, sufficient for the requested capacity.
The facility have completed the required documents and the physical plant is approved. Fire clearance granted 3/12/24.
The facility is licensed for 53 School Age effective today, 3/12/25.

Criminal Record Clearance - Child Care Centers:
Michelle Lightle was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
APPLICANT KNOWS PROSPECTIVE CLIENTS WILL NEED IMS:
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS. For IMS information, see PIN 22-02-CCP. A Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
