32 | The LPA interviewed 4 out of 4 staff (S1-S4) on 6/23 and 6/25/21. Staff did confirm that children are separated into age groups upon arrival, however, staff did acknowledge that on the first two days of the start of their school age program on 6/7 & 6/8, there was some confusion to class set up, so for 1 – 1 ½ hours all ages groups were together but it was an isolated incident. The LPA interviewed 5 out of 5 children (C1-C5) on 6/24 and 6/25/21. The children expressed normally they are separated out into age groups, other then an isolated incident at the start of the school age program, where for the first two days they were together with other age groups for a portion of their day.
The LPA determined based on interviews, that on 6/7 and 6/8/21, the first two days of the school age program, the preschool and school age children were commingled for a period, however, under normal circumstances the facility does not allow for commingling of age groups.
Based on the evidence obtained, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be substantiated. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22), is being cited on the attached LIC 9099D. Appeal rights were provided and exit interview conducted. The Notice of Site Visit must be posed for 30 days.
