The sharp knives, cleaning supplies, medicines, are stored out of the reach of children. The licensee stated there are no poisons in the home. The licensee understands that all poisons shall be locked if any are brought into the home. The licensee reports there are no weapons in the home and none were observed during the visit. Currently the licensee does not carry liability insurance for her family child care home. The licensee understands that parents will be required to sign insurance affidavits. The licensee was reminded of maintaining her child care roster and children's records current at all times as well as the responsibility of reporting unusual incidents to CCL (within 24 hours or the next business day). The children in care will have access to age appropriate toys and equipment. The home is equipped with a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher rated at least 2A10BC. The licensee has current pediatric CPR and First Aid certification, which expire on 7/10/2022. The children will use the front and back yards as their outdoor play area. The front yard is partially fenced while the back yard is fully fenced. The licensee agrees to provide constant visual supervision if children are in the front yard. There is an air conditioning unit coming from the master bedroom window. A 2x4 anchored into the ground secures the air conditioner into the window. The licensee understands that the 2x4 is to be maintained in a safe manner at all times to prevent injury to a child. There is no trampoline, pool, or spa accessible to the children, and none of these items are to be added without prior notification and approval of the licensing agency.
