25 | A prelicensing inspection was conducted today at 8:21am by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mendez and LPA Sims. LPA met with applicant Tori Prest. The applicant is requesting a license for 20 preschool age children, with a capacity of 20. The facility will operate Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. The facility has 3 small open classrooms and 1 staff bathroom and 2 bathrooms for children.
The indoor and outdoor activity spaces were toured, and the facility sketch was verified. The following areas will be off limits to children: office. Office needs to be inaccessible. There is no kitchen on site all meals will be prepped outside of the facility. Children will nap on cots in the classroom. The isolation area for sick children will be located in the classroom. The changing table is located staff bathroom.
The outdoor play area is fully fenced. There is no play structures outdoors and the outdoor is covered with pavement and pea sized gravel. Applicant will be adding grass to the yard. There is no pool, spa, pond, fountain, or any other body of water on the premises .The poisons are locked in outdoor shed. There is safe and age appropriate furniture, toys, and play equipment available for children.
A capacity worksheet was completed during the visit. There is enough indoor space for 24 children and outdoor space for 42 children. There are 2 toilets and 2 sinks available for children. Based on the above, the maximum capacity of the facility could be 24.
LPA reviewed with applicant the LIC 311A, Records To Be Maintained At The Facility, for child’s records, personnel records, administrative records, and documents to be posted.
