25 | On October 2, 2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kari McWilliams conducted an unannounced case management visit and met with Licensee Alyssa Ceballos. LPA McWilliams toured the facility and a census was taken.
LPA McWilliams explained the reason for the inspection was due to the facility not reporting a change of director in the required amount of time. LPA McWilliams provided Licensee Ceballos with a copy of the associated regulations; 101215.1 Child Care Center Directors Qualifications and Duties, and collected the new director's packet during the inspection. LPA McWilliams verified that Licensee understood that the director shall be on the facility premises during operating hours and that in the director's absence the qualified site supervisor or head teacher is aware of center operations, including total enrollment; shall be trained in program operation; and shall be designated as an authorized person to correct operational deficiencies that constitute immediate threats to children's health and safety.
LPA verified during the inspection that there was a qualified staff on the premises as an acting director; the packet had not been sent to the Department as the staff listed as the director is still employed.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee Alyssa Ceballos.
Appeal rights were provided.
Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies are cited.
