25 | On 9/21/23, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Norma Lomeli and Claribel Soto conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, licensee’s assistant and three day care children. Licensee, her husband, and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 5/4/24. Licensee’s Assistant, Janett Campos completed the training through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 8/27/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 9/723.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 9/14/23. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s entry way on the right hand side wall.
- During today's inspection, LPAs inspected bedroom #1 (play room), applicant requested today to make the bedroom accessible. LPAs inspected and approved the bedroom for day care use, as it is incompliance with Title 22 Regulations.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed five high chairs and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right hand side wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, ammunition or poisons in the home.
