25 | On 11/25/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, licensee’s assistant and five day care children. Licensee, her husband and four minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 10/18/2025. Licensee’s Assistant, Jose Quinones completed the training through Pediatric Plus with Emergency Medical Services Authority stickers (EMSA) and expires on 2/25/2025. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 11/19/2024.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 11/21/2024. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s day care room on right wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one high chair and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the left wall of the home’s entry way.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms, or ammunition. Poisons are kept locked inside a shed that is located in the backyard.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the day care room wall. There is a carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
