25 | On May 9, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Kari McWilliams conducted an unannounced Annual Random Inspection and was met by licensee’s adult daughter Jessica Cabrera. Also present was Licensee's assistant. Licensee is at an appointment and was on the phone. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 5:00AM-7:30PM. There is one dog on the premises and is accessible to children in care, Licensee understands that she is responsible for her pets.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that living room, dining area, kitchen and two bathrooms are used for providing care and are accessible to children. All other rooms are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of door knob spinners and door locks.
There is a built-in swimming pool in the backyard, it is fenced per regulation and there are no doors or windows with direct access to the pool area. LPA observed that there is no water in the pool due to a crack and is not able to hold water.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is a fireplace in the living room and it is made inaccessible to children by a bookshelf is placed in front. The fireplace is not used during daycare hours. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 564-9045. |
