25 | On 1/31/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli met with Applicant, Marisol Rubalcaba for a pre-licensing inspection. Applicant, her husband, her adult son, her daughter in law, her adult brother and two minor children reside in the home. Background clearances are discussed and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults currently living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption.
Facility was inspected inside and outside as shown on the facility sketch and the following items were discussed:
- This is a two story, four bedrooms and two and half bathrooms home and upstairs area will be off-limits to the day-care children. There is a gate at the bottom of the stairs making upstairs area inaccessible. Care and supervision will be provided in living room, kitchen, family room, and downstairs half bathroom.
- There is an electrical fireplace in the living room (day care room), and an electrical fireplace in the family room that applicant states they will not be used during day-care hours.
- LPA observed in the day care room; children size furniture, safe toys, and books for the children. There is a flat screen television mounted onto the wall. Also, observed an infant swing, a diaper changing table and a diaper Genie dispenser. Children will nap in living room on cottage beds. Infants will nap in play yards. Applicant understands she is to supervise children at all times. LPA provided applicant with Individual Sleeping Plan and Safe Sleep handout.
- Facility has 210BC fire extinguisher, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm and first aid kit in place.
- Applicant’s Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 08/04/24.
