| On 09/6/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ruby Ocegueda conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Elizabeth Rodriguez. Also present was licensee’s adult daughter/assistant. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA reviewed current facility sketch and confirmed that the kitchen, one hall bathroom, living room, one bedroom, entry way sitting area and back yard are used for providing care and accessible to children. All other rooms are made inaccessible by way of door knob safety spinners. Today, licensee requested that her converted garage be approved for care (see 809 case management report dated 9/6/2023).
There is a built-in swimming pool in the backyard which is fenced and made inaccessible. The pool gate is self-latching, self-closing and opens away from the swimming pool. No windows or doors have direct access to the pool area.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is one fireplace in the home located in the living room and is made inaccessible by a glass door and baby gate. There is a working fire extinguisher, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort.
This is a single level home and there are no stairs. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is (559) 920-7216.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. Report continued to 809-C
