25 | On 10/4/24, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee and seven day care children. Licensee, her husband and two minor children reside in the home. Verified licensee’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 7/9/24. Licensee’s Assistant, Alexander Equihua completed the training through American Red Cross and expires on 5/11/24. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance. Fire clearance was granted on 9/27/24.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 10/2/24. Fire pull alarm is located on the living room (day care room wall).
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed two high chairs, a diaper changing station and two play yards. There is a parent’s board that is located on the hallway wall.
- Licensee states she does not have weapons, firearms or ammunition. Poisons are stored key locked.
- Facility has 3A40BC fire extinguisher, carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
