25 | On 2/12/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Norma Lomeli conducted a capacity increase inspection from a Small Family Child Care Home to a Large Family Child Care Home. Present at time of inspection was licensee, Licensee’s Assistant, Helida Tapia and five daycare children who were napping on cots and play yards. Licensee, her Fiance and one minor child reside in the home. Verified licensee’s and licensee assistant’s CPR and First Aid was completed through American Red Cross and expires on 6/12/2025. Background criminal record clearances are verified and discussed, and LIS 531 is signed indicating that the adults living in the home and/or providing care and supervision to children have a criminal record clearance or exemption. Fire clearance was granted on 12/6/2024.
A tour of the home, inside and outside, as shown on the facility sketch, was conducted and the following was discussed and/or observed:
- Fire clearance was received on 1/13/2025. Fire pull alarm is located on the home’s kitchen wall.
- LPA observed children size furniture, safe toys and books for the children. LPA also observed one highchair, a diaper changing table and one play yard. There is a parent’s board that is located on the right wall of the home’s entry way.
- Firearms are stored in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. Licensee states there is no ammunition in the home. Poisons are stored locked inside a Rubbermaid shed that is located on the side run of the home.
- Family child care home has 2A10BC fire extinguisher mounted onto the kitchen wall. There is a functioning carbon monoxide alarm, working smoke alarm and first aid kit in place.
- There are no bodies of water in the home or premises.
