32 | In addition, during today’s investigation, licensee stated that her AS was not present, but would arrive shortly because he was out conducting an errand and driving. Licensee stated that previously her husband (assistant) was helping her with transporting the children to school, but he recently got another job and is no longer assisting her. She stated that she did purchase a big van to transport children, but unfortunately on the day of the accident it was a last-minute resort and her AS had to help to transport the daycare child to school. The incident report stated that the AS fled the scene of an accident.
With the Allegations of, provider transported day care children without a valid driver license, and provider did not transport day care children in a safe manner, these allegations has been investigated and based on interviews and record review the facility did allow for a person without a driver’s license to transport children in care.
This agency has investigated the complaint with the 2 allegations. After interviews and records review the preponderance of evidence standard has been met; therefore, the above allegations are found to be SUBSTANTIATED.
Type A deficiency was cited. Upon receipt, licensee shall post and provide copies of this licensing report to parents/guardians of children in care at the facility and to parents/guardians of children newly enrolled at the facility during the next 12 months.
