On 11/2/2022 at, 3:18 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Michael Mathew conducted an unannounced inspection to conclude a complaint investigation and completed a COVID-19 pre-screening questions prior to entering the facility. LPA met with Director Carol Barona and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 57 children and 6 staff in care at the time of the inspection.

Allegation:Licensee is not allowing parents entry into the facility. LPA conducted interviews with staff, parents, and reporting party. LPA interviewed Reporting party who stated that RP asked director if RP was able to come inside the facility, but was not allowed due to covid. Staff that where interviewed stated that.parents are not allowed since the beginning of covid, and are also keeping the children safe. Parents that were interviewed stated that they dont mind picking up and dropping of at the gate, and is happy that the facility is keeping the children safe. LPA spoke with director who stated that director has not denied parents entry in the facility.

LPA mention to director that Covid-19 guidelines has been lifted per public health. LPA also provided director on where director could find new and current COVID-19 guidelines.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.

"No deficiencies were cited on today’s visit"

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.

Exit interview conducted, appeal rights were given, and report was reviewed with Director Carol Barona
