On 10/2/23, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced inspection to deliver the findings for a Complaint pertaining to the abovementioned allegation. LPA met with Sarah Britton, Director of the Child Care Center (CCC), and advised of the purpose of the inspection. It should be noted LPA observed 16 children on site along with 5 teachers providing care and supervision.

The investigation included observations, record reviews, interviews (Director, Staff Member, parents of children in care) and three unannounced site inspections. As noted above, the specific allegation of the Complaint is with regard to staff are not allowing day care children to use the restroom when needed.

This allegation could not be collaborated. The facility has protocol, procedures and practices in place to ensure children who want to use the restroom are taken to the restroom. Even with the aforementioned in place it is conceivable a child in care can accidentally wet themselves during nap. LPA found no evidence staff are not allowing day care children to use the restroom when needed.
