On 3/11/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Veronica Diaz and Cynthia Alvarez conducted an unannounced Required inspection. LPAs met with licensee Leticia Garcia-Cedillos and advised the purpose of the inspection. Licensee provided LPAs a tour of the home inside and out. There were 6 children in care at the time of the inspection.

LPAs observed required licensing documents pinned on the wall in the child day-care room. Fire and earthquake drills are being documented every six months. Last drill was conducted on 10/08/2024. Fire extinguisher 2A10BC mounted on the hallway wall was last serviced 08/15/2024. Fire and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and working time tested 1:27pm.

Children in care have access to 2 rooms, 1 restroom, kitchen, living room, and back yard. Fireplace inside the living room has glass covered and lock to prevent access by children. In the kitchen the knives are stored on top of the refrigerator and cleaning supplies are being kept in the garage locked with key to keep out of reach from children. Children have access to toys that are age-appropriate inside and outside of the home. Back yard play area is enclosed and has plenty toys and activities for children. LPAs did not observe any hazards/toxins items accessible to children in care.

LPAs reviewed six children files. All children files were current. Licensee CPR/first aid is valid through 09/14/2025 and assistant CPR/first aid is vaild through 06/11/2026. Licensee was reminded a licensed child day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter certification AB1207 every two years at www.mandatedreporterca.com both licensee's and assistant are current.

LPA's also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
