25 | On June 17, 2021 at 1:15 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Laura Villanueva made an unannounced visit to conduct a Required-1 Year inspection. LPA toured the classrooms with Dominique Ruiz, Infant/Toddler Teacher. The center operates Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
The teacher child ratios were met in every classroom. LPA observed a limited number of toys and equipment for the children to work. The carpets and areas where the children sit were soiled and in need of deep cleaning. An LIC 9102 Advisory Notes-Technical Violation was issued. There were torn books in the bookshelves. LPA did not observe any hazards inside or outside. The yard was completely fenced in. Children are now encouraged to drink water from a cup rather than using the drinking fountains. LPA observed a menu posted. LPA reviewed teacher and child files and found them to be complete. The last fire drill was conducted on 5/12/21.
The preschool program is currently providing Incidental Medical Services Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department.
