On 3/24/22 at 8:27 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Michael Mathew and Dean Thompson conducted an unannounced inspection to conclude a complaint investigation and completed a COVID-19 pre-screening questions prior to entering the facility. LPAs met with teacher Dominique Ruiz and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Teacher provided LPAs a tour of the facility inside and out. There were 28 children and 3 teachers in care at the time of the inspection.

Allegation(s) stated Licensee refused to close facility following a recommendation to do so from the Ventura County Public Health Department. LPA conducted an unannounced inspection touring the facility inside and out. During the course of this investigation, LPA conducted interviews with staff, parents and Public health representative.

.LPA also interviewed Parents who mentioned that facility stayed open when there were COVID-19 cases. LPA also spoke with a Public health representative who mentioned that the facility reported COVID-19 cases was recommended to close verbally. RP provided documents resources to licensee which the LPA obtained from the reporting party.
Licensee mention that Public health did not recommend the facility to close.

This agency has investigated the complaint alleging Licensee refused to close facility following a recommendation to do so from the Ventura County Public Health Department. We have found that the complaint was UNSUBSTANTIATED.

No deficiency were cited on todays visit
