On June 16 2023 at 9:30am Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Giovai Gonzlaez and German Negrete conducted an unannounced inspection to conclude a complaint investigation. LPAs met with facility director Catherine Rutledge and explained the nature and the purpose of the inspection. Director provided LPAs a tour of the facility. There were 89 children in care at the time of the inspection with 26 teachers providing care. The department obtained an allegation that staff do not prevent aggressive interactions between children in care and that staff did not protect day care children from being handled in a rough manner by an adult at the facility.
LPA Austin Rios conducted a walkthrough of the classrooms during the first inspection on 3/29/2023 and the classrooms were in ratio with adequate staffing. Interviews were conducted with staff and parents. Staff and parent interviews did not corroborate the allegations that staff did not prevent aggressive interactions between children in care and that staff did not protect day care children from being handled in a rough manner by an adult at the facility. Based on the information obtained a preponderance of evidence could not be established to support the abovementioned allegations. LPA Gonzalez and LPA Negrete deemed the allegations as UNSUBSTANTIATED
Although the allegations may have happend or are valid there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violcation did or did not occur. Therefore the allegations are deemed unsubstantiated.
Unsubstantiated
