32 | There were a few parents who stated they are unsure of the official bathroom policy. Furthermore most parent who participated in the interviews, stated they are satisfied with the level of care their children receive.
Staff interviews revealed how staff utilize personal cellphones to communicate to other staff when a child goes to the restroom. Director stated, preschool complies with teacher to child ratios, therefore the staff stay in compliance pertaining to ratios and does not leave the children unsupervised in the classroom in order to walk a child to the restroom.
On 06/24/2024 LPA arrived at the facility. LPA waited for approximately 5 minutes for someone open the gate entrance. LPA observed Assistant Director open the door in room#6. Assistant Director allowed a preschool child (C7) walk out of room#6 in order to allow C7 to use the restroom. Once Assistant Director observed C7 enter the restroom, Assistant Director close the door and went into room#6. LPA was allowed inside by a infant teacher(See LIC811). Infant teacher did not ask LPA to show his badge. LPA observed C7 walk out of the restroom and walk back to room#6 unsupervised(See LIC812).
Based on LPAs observations, interviews, documents collected during investigation, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, (Title 22, Division 12 & Chapter 1), are being cited on the attached LIC 9099D.”
Exit Interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Mary Gossett.
