13 | On January 9, 2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA's) Susana Martinez and Veronica Diaz conducted an unannounced inspection to deliver the findings of the above mentioned allegations. LPA's met with director Marlene Ybarra and assistance director Zenaida Garcia and advised them of the purpose for the inspection. Together with the directors LPA's toured the facility inside and outside. At the time of inspection there were 61 children and 8 staff members.
The Department received a complaint alleging staff did not prevent day-care children from inserting items into another day-care child's underwear. LPA's conducted interviews with the reporting party (RP), staff members, and parents. The RP indicated they were unsure if another child put items into day-care child's underwear or if it was the child itself. Staff indicated they were unaware of how the child inserted items into underwear. No staff member witnessed children putting items into each others underwear. Staff indicated they have been keeping a close eye on all students and no similar incidents have occurred.
