32 | The preschool classrooms contain ample age-appropriate toys, equipment, tables, chairs, bookshelves, sufficient number of mats for napping in appropriate condition, and cubbies for individual items. LPA reminded mats must be marked or labeled to distinguish sleeping side from floor side. LPA observed comfortable room temperature, and access to filtered water. The classrooms were observed to be clean, safe, sanitary, and LPA advised must be maintained in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees, and visitors. Furniture and equipment were observed to be maintained in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Tables and chairs were observed to be meet the needs of the children and all floors and surfaces appeared cleaned, and floor mats and rugs in clean condition. LPA observed refrigerator to be clean and functioning at the time of the inspection. Kitchen and snack preparation area was observed to be clean with appropriate preparation supplies, and tight fitting bins for waste were present.
LPA observed 2 separated play yards, 1 designated for infants and 1 designated for preschoolers. Preschool play areas provide ample shade, age-appropriate toys and equipment, soft material to absorb falls, and accessibility to water per water caddy. The playgrounds are enclosed by regulation fencing to protect and to prevent co-mingling of the age groups. At the time of the inspection, LPA observed preschool garden area to be free of tools or toxins, and sandbox was filled and covered. Per administrator, no bodies of water are present on the property. Infant play area provides ample shade, soft padding, age appropriate equipment for various activities for the infant age ranges.
