25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Emily Peraldi arrived at the facility unannounced to conduct a required annual visit. At 11:25 a.m., the LPA was greeted and screened by staff. At 11:50 a.m., the Administrator, Arlene Martinez arrived at the facility. This annual had a specific emphasis on infection control practices and procedures.
At 12:02 p.m., the LPA, along with Administrator toured the physical plant areas inside and outside to ensure there are no health and safety hazards and that the facility is in compliance with Title 22 Regulations.
BEDROOMS: The LPA observed resident bedrooms, which were furnished appropriately with clean linens, appropriate furnishings and sufficient lighting. Inside temperature was maintained at a comfortable level.
RESTROOMS: Restrooms are relatively clean and sanitary and in operating condition with grab bars and non-skid mats. The sinks had sufficient liquid soap, and paper towels. At 12:14 p.m., hot water measured between 132.3 and 148.4-degree Fahrenheit. At 12:14 p.m., the Administrator observed the hot water temperature and turned down the water heater to set the hot water no more than 120-degree Fahrenheit.
COMMON AREAS: The LPA observed common area to be relatively clean and properly furnished. The LPA observed the fire extinguisher to be fully charged and last serviced on 05/23/2022. Signs are posted throughout facility to promote handwashing, and cough/sneeze etiquette. At 12:17 p.m., fire alarms and carbon monoxide detectors were tested and functioned properly.
OUTDOOR SPACE: At 12:07 p.m., the LPA observed the back yard which has a self-latching gate designated for an emergency exit. The backyard had no bodies of water. The garage was observed locked and contained cleaning solutions, toxins, chemicals and hazardous items which were inaccessible to residents. The garage also has extra supplies of food and water. The laundry units are located inside the garage. |
