25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Lauren Scott and Carla Polanco Rivera met with Director Julia Lukenbill for a Case Management inspection. The purpose of the inspection was to follow-up on a lead testing report dated 10/01/2022 which tested the water in the facility.
The report revealed that one water outlets had elevated levels of lead. Director reported that the fountains had been marked as "closed" and were currently inaccessible for use. Director also stated the fountains had not been used since March 2020 when they were taped off to be inaccessible for use due to COVID-19.
During today's inspection, LPA verified that the affected water outlets are not in use. Director stated that she is planning to have the faucet removed, since it is an addition to the sink and not the only source of water in the kitchen.
As a result of the water testing positive for lead, a deficiency was cited on a subsequent page, 809D. An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with Director. A Notice of Site was posted by LPA and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
